Hidden heritage gem Upton Cressett Hall is not so hidden anymore after joining the list of winners at the inaugural Hudson’s Heritage Industry Awards.
The restored Upton Cressett Hall was named the country’s best hidden gem at the Marriott Grosvenor Square this month. Overall the judges selected 13 winners and 12 venues were also given highly commended awards across a range of categories.
Commenting on the awards, Ed Beale of Hudson’s Heritage said: “This is a very important section of the leisure and tourist industry in the UK and these awards are designed to help promote the very best of the excellent heritage destinations in the UK.
“This is also a year of development and expansion for us with the launch of several new products and initiatives including an extended multi-media proposition. We were delighted with the response from the industry and it’s fantastic to be able to reward such an excellent demonstration of creativity, commitment and enthusiasm at a wide range of heritage sites throughout the UK.
“It really was a great opportunity for the industry to celebrate their success and achievements and we look forward to seeing the great work continue!”
